RECLAIM "THE STREETS".
just got up, feel like hit by a truck. last nights "the streets" show was actually really good! i would've thought it would be more tiring, but mike skinner is a great entertainer with mad hits up his sleeves and an ability to move any crowd, from rock to rap to indie to what the hell ever. the only thing that really annoyed me was the length of the show: barely 70 minutes, with A LOT of fun talk in between songs. but really, the streets put on the best they could possibly do: 80% original pirate material plus the hits off the other records and the atmosphere was always between dancing, raving, jumping, moshing, damn near everything. really. AWESOME. till skillz, da hooch and me even got our hands on some VIP tickets, but uhhhhm......that was kinda nasty, yo. we were asked in by some scared 16 year old girls, came backstage and it was basically a crowd of insecure girls with insecure eyes and a buncha roadies and backup rappers plus bandmembers on the prowl. something you would expect from motörhead. the show was a-game, but the rest was naaaaaaah. we got crazy drunk for free tho. i stole the setlist and wanted to post it....but........man, i'm SO sure i put it in my back pocket, but uhmmm.......till, is that in your car?

soooo, inmidst the stir of the felt three million modern hardcore bands out there, a few stand out. one of these are "another breath", off the streets of syracuse, new york. as their myspace states since last night, they are about to hit the studios to record their upcoming full length "the god complex", a releasedate is yet to be poned. let's just hope it doesn't suck as bad as "mill city" did. but what's really causing the talk of the town is this:
"Here's the catch, Rivalry is slowing down and can't really help us out anymore so we're in the market for a new label. e're looking for a new home, so we want someone who is as serious about what they do as we are about what we do."
sounds like a riot up in the godly halls of the multi million concern of rivalry records. no seriously, sometimes you really get to wondering about what the hell these bands think they are. but i kinda do hear victory knocking.
